4th of July was a really long day. We did a float for the 4th of July parade for the JDRF. We are advertising our walk a thon which is in September. Last year we made $23,000. for our first year, and this year we want to get more walkers out and make at least $25,000. Even in this bad economy, I think we can do it. After the parade, we went to Freeman park and set up camp to watch the fireworks. Ito and Cory picked the perfect spot. We barbecued and hung out there all night. It was a lot of fun. It is so nice to be around my family for these holidays. We miss Ito's family a lot, and wish they were here with us.

Yesterday was the Title of Liberty Walk. We had a great time walking together as a family. This is our 2nd year walking, so I guess it's going to be an annual thing. Left to right is Saylor, Cory, Jerry, Josh, Lynette, Nick, Ito, Trish, Dom, Lance and Jessica.

Here's all the guys on Father's Day. They always get so excited when I take their picture.

Ito and I were given Volunteer of the Year Award from the Utah Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We drove down to Salt Lake for an awards dinner. We had a nice time and the kids didn't even complain about going. This award really should have gone to Ito. He did so much for the Walk a Thon. I would say he did 90% and because of his hard work and dedication it was a huge success last year. He is already working on this year's walk. It will be 9/12/09 for anyone that wants to join us.
